I would choose Korea, even though both countries come with issues, which I won't get into right now. The reason why I choose Korea is because Koreans worked the hardest to get the competition and didn't act like they deserve it. Also, they built more proper soccer grounds than Japan, which ought to be always a plus for any true soccer fan. Seven of the ten Korean stadia are football-only, while only three of the ten Japanese stadia are football-only; going against the general trend in football-mad countries, even in Europe. Frankly, I never quite understood the practices of some wealthy countries of building more multi-purpose stadia than football-only grounds when footy is much more popular in the world than athletics(we call it "Track & Field" here in the States). Nothing against Track & Field but do they need all those facilities, especially when one is already found in Tokyo dating back to Summer Olympics '64? To top it off, in their "infinite" wisdom, they decided to have the one in Yokohama for the final be multi-purpose. Ugh! I guess footy was never Japan's main priority

Korea, clearly...cheaper, less crowded, and the stadiums are IMO much nicer.
I would definetely want to be based in Korea. In my opinion, the Korean stadiums are much nicer and it seems like Korean fans take more pride in football. But that's just my opinion.
